It is a fact that most human potential drowning incidences are prevented by the use of a life jacket – the same is true in the case of dogs. There are reports of dogs drowning in all sorts of conditions – many of them in swimming pools, some in swollen rivers after slipping in and of course at sea, usually falling off a boat and others just running after some wildlife or other on the jetty and launching themselves accidently into water and panicking.
