Dog Training DVD Review
Bad dog to good dog tail with the help of dog training videos and ebooks by professional dog trainer, Andrew Chastney – Dog Training Blueprint to Success.
If your dog or pup needs some training or has some dog obedience problems, I can really identify with you. This is what happened to me and my 8 yr old westie, Dougie.

Dog training DVD turned bad dog to good dog Dougie
Dougie has always been a good dog, well-behaved, obedient, loyal and loving. From a puppy I’d taught him myself to do all the usual, like sitting, staying etc.. There were no big problems until out of the blue earlier this year.
We went to stay with my parents, as we had done on so many occasions, taking Dougie, his toys, bed and food with us as usual. My brother and wife were at my parents house too with their 1yr old little boy and we were spending the weekend together for a big family celebration.
From the minute we entered the house, Dougie was excited to see ‘his grandparents’ and as was normal he was petted and his dog bed put in the same place. My nephew was crawling by this time and my sister in-law was a bit nervous of little Jon and my dog, so she had him on her knee, and Dougie tried several times to get up to Jon but I told him down which amazingly he ignored! I tapped his nose the next time he did it and he promptly went over to Jon’s babywalker and lifted his leg on it.
This type of bad dog behaviour went from bad to worse during the course of the day, so we went into the lounge so that I could hold Jon without Dougie seeing, leaving Dougie in the kitchen-diner. He was not a happy dog and I was not a happy mum! I kept popping into the kitchen to check on Dougie and every time I had to get the mop and disinfectant out, he was being a very naughty boy, I was shocked as never in 8years had I seen this.
Dougie barked most of the night which he had never done before then, which made Jon cry and the next morning I had to put Dougie in the car whilst we all had breakfast (after cleaning the kitchen floor yet again). The situation was so impossible that we left soon after, as it was getting warm outside and Dougie couldn’t stay in the car all day and certainly couldn’t come back in the house.
I was extremely upset to say the least. When we got home Dougie was back to his usual angelic good dog behaviour but we had a big problem – Dougie was obviously very jealous of the baby. Bad behaviour from your dog can make you tear your hair out, especially when you love your dog and the behaviour is disrupting your life and making your dog and you unhappy. Some people even get to the point where they give up and give their dog up, which is so sad.
I needed to sort this out, as I wanted to be able to see my brother’s family regularly now that they had moved back nearer to us and there was no way I was giving up on my little dog Dougie.
I contacted some dog trainers who said this is a common problem – they were prepared to help but at $50 per hour with at least 6 sessions required! I simply couldn’t afford that sort of money. I bought a well-known book about problem behaviour and dog obedience training but it didn’t contain the answer to this particular problem. I joined some dog forums and started posting my problem. I had several genuine empathetic replies and many people pushing their own books at me (spam) but still nothing concrete. I was losing my patience and really ready to sign up for the $300 training sessions, even though I couldn’t really afford them. I posted my intentions on a forum where I had built up a few genuine friends. I received a private message later that day from one of the forum members who had a friend who had rescued a dog with quite a few behavioural problems (not the poor dog’s fault but the way it had been treated) and she had turned that dog round from bad dog to good dog in weeks! I contacted the lady through the forum member and spoke to her personally.
This lovely lady (who was not selling anything to me) spoke to me at length about her dog and his problems when she first took him in. She told me about Andrew Chastney who is a professional dog trainer and how he has put together a full dog training DVD course, not just a dog training book but the entire book is supplied on audio (as well as ebook) so you can listen to it anywhere – in the car, on your headphones walking with your dog or wherever. The dog training DVD course has over 21 dog training videos too, so you can actually see Andrew in action with real dogs, hear his tone of voice and learn how to put that into practice with your dog. When training your dog, much of it is conveyed to your dog through your body language and dog training videos allow you to actually see what the right posture and hand signals are. I liked the sound of learning from dog training videos, as you could replay bits you didn’t quite catch and no lengthy printing job, just download and press play.
She also told me that Andrew is very supportive and answers queries personally as well as sending out newsletters regularly with useful tips and advice for dog lovers.
So this wasn’t just another ebook by some faceless guru, pretending to know about dog training – I actually asked her this and got an emphatic “NO”.
Well I liked the idea of the dog training DVD course, Dog Training Blueprint to Success – I was going to pay the money for the dog trainer, but I felt pressurised with the time factor – what if Dougie was no better with the baby after the six sessions? I couldn’t just press rewind on a video if I had not quite grasped what the dog trainer had said or done – that’s another thing, Andrew says there is more than one way of doing things and shows different ways on the videos if one way doesn’t work for your particular dog or you.
I watched a couple of Andrew’s dog training videos from Dog Training Blueprint to Success that this kind lady sent me – he was easy to understand, you could really relate to him and his methods are so simple, straight forward and he doesn’t use any nasty collars for dog obedience training or anything that would harm your dog – this was really important to me, as I do not believe in these practices.
So I downloaded the dog training DVD course the next day neatly in a file on my laptop. I can print it all out with pics if I want but I personally prefer to use the audio version which is the whole dog training book and lasts just over 5 hours. I have too the 21 videos which I watched hooked up to my TV. (Great for families who all need to get involved with dog or puppy training, as they can watch the dog training videos together).
Andrew’s dog training book/videos cover everything from puppy training (including dog potty training) right through to older dogs and specific dog obedience problems. I did listen to the whole dog training DVD course and watch all the videos over a period of time but didn’t need to. I learnt a great deal that I didn’t expect to and some more!
Dougie took to the training really well (he is a really good boy) and he just loves it when I give him any attention, asking him to do certain things – all dogs love to please their leader!
Upshot is after 3 weeks of starting Andrew’s dog training DVD course, I felt ready to meet up with my family again, including little Jon. Dougie was not quite perfect this time, but he was so much improved and was actually able to do what I asked regarding not jumping up on the baby and there was no more wetting over Jon’s toys and belongings. Progress!!
Andrew Chastney is an upfront guy in that if you don’t get results after implementing his easy steps, he will return your money, as he doesn’t want people or dogs that are unhappy!
To me this dog training DVD course was priceless and I like many others thank Andrew for putting all his knowledge into this easy dog training dvd course – he’s got loads of followers and people who are grateful to him.
Even if your dog doesn’t have a specific problem, (and they certainly won’t if you start with these dog training videos with a pup at dog potty training level) the things that Andrew teaches you to get your dog to do is amazing and great fun for you and your dog.
The price, well less than $60/£40 for this complete dog training DVD package. In this dog training DVD course there is everything you will ever need to have a well trained dog.

You can read all the testimonials and personal thankyou’s there too, from people just like me who now have turned a bad dog to a good dog with Andrew’s help – a tail worth telling to other dog lovers!
